During the 2024 Christmas holiday Nifikie Christian School welcomed a group of visitors who had the opportunity to experience the heart of the school’s mission firsthand. The visitors met with the school’s director, Stacy Kithuka, who passionately shared the vision of transforming the lives of underprivileged children through holistic education, spiritual guidance, and psychosocial support. They were introduced to the various programs run by the school, including the impactful feeding initiative and the dedication to nurturing well-rounded children. Their interaction with the director painted a vivid picture of the school’s commitment to creating a brighter future for the children of Mukuru kwa Njenga.
During their visit, the sponsors toured the school facilities and participated in home visitations within the slum. This gave them a sobering glimpse into the daily struggles faced by the children and their families. They witnessed the harsh realities of life in Mukuru Kwa Njenga, from overcrowded tin homes to a lack of basic amenities. Deeply moved by these encounters, the sponsors expressed interest in a potential partnership with Nifikie Christian School to support its mission and bring hope to the lives of these children.
